Basic Records Management Staff Training

My state government agency’s Records and Information Management unit is charged with the development of a records management training program designed to bring the Us into compliance with state statutory recordkeeping requirements and internal strategic plans. My capstone project for Design for Learning tackles the online component, Basic Records Management Training. The training consists of a short three-part video series delivered via the Agency LMS which serves as the foundation for a more advanced in-person training in March 2017. The flagship group of trainees includes ~420 employees Agency-wide who were selected by our oversight Board by their role or relationship to official Agency records. In Spring 2017, we’ll evaluate feedback from learners and revamp to program to focus on new and transferred employees RIM education.
